Lucy is an internationally recognized writer/director whose work has received accolades at festivals like Slamdance and Austin Film Fest. She is co-founder of the independent production company, Lemon St. Pictures. Her poetry, fiction, op-eds, and photographs have appeared in various online and print publications.
An investigator of subconscious drives, Lucy often places desires themselves in the role of protagonist. Whether mundane or taboo, her work explores the myriad ways these yearnings fight their way to the surface and the consequences of their emergence. Drawing on mythological, philosophical, and genre frameworks, she uses the idiosyncratic to juxtapose the perennial struggle between us and our desires, questioning their place in the fabric of our being—and ours in theirs.
